Why StartLinkVenture exists.

Tanya E. Montméan built her early career inside institutional finance, including a run at J.P. Morgan, before deciding that the more interesting problem sat one step earlier in the pipeline: not managing capital once it exists, but deciding who gets access to it in the first place.

That question became personal. Her father was a self-made entrepreneur who struggled for years to raise capital, held back less by the merit of his ideas than by his lack of traditional credentials and network. Watching that gap up close shaped the mission behind her work today: helping founders — particularly those outside the traditional Silicon Valley pipeline — navigate a fundraising system that was never designed with them in mind.

She pursued a Global MBA at Hult International Business School in San Francisco to deepen her expertise in finance and innovation, then co-founded ClimateKick, a blockchain-powered investment platform using asset-backed tokens to fund climate and circular-economy projects. That experience — merging traditional and decentralized finance toward real-world impact — became the proving ground for the model she now runs at StartLinkVenture.
